What It Costs

Every fee itemized up front — the only markup-free part of the invoice is the winning bid itself.

ItemAmountNotes
TPA Auto dealer fee$200 flatPer vehicle. No markup on the winning bid.
Auction wire fee$25 flatCharged on every vehicle purchase, every buyer — TPA Auto's fixed cost to wire funds to the auction.
Copart title shipping+$20Copart-only. FedEx charge to ship the title — does not apply to IAAI or Manheim purchases.
Vehicle transport / shippingVariesAlways quoted per vehicle — depends on distance, vehicle size, and carrier availability.
Paperwork / DMV feesVariesTitle processing costs, billed at cost.
Sales taxVariesFlorida buyers pay FL sales tax. Out-of-state buyers pay tax at their own state DMV, not to TPA Auto.

The $200 dealer fee and $25 wire fee are the same for every buyer, every vehicle. Copart's $20 title-shipping fee only applies to Copart purchases. Vehicle transport, DMV paperwork, and tax always vary and are quoted per vehicle — get an exact, itemized quote before you commit to a bid.

Copart & IAAI Auction Fees

On top of TPA Auto's fees above, Copart and IAAI each charge their own buyer fee directly on the winning bid — TPA Auto doesn't set these, mark them up, or collect them. They're paid to the auction, not to us.

Plus flat fees: gate fee $79 (clean title) / $95 (non-clean), environmental fee $15/vehicle, title shipping $15–20. Unsecured payment methods (e.g. credit card) cost more than the secured/wire rates shown here. A virtual bid fee applies only to bids placed through an online device — TPA Auto bids live by phone, so this typically doesn't apply.

Rates shown are for illustration at common bid amounts, not a complete bracket table. Copart's full published fee schedule has a fee for every $50–$500 bid increment and can change without notice — verify current fees directly at copart.com or with Copart before bidding.

Plus flat fees: service fee $105/unit, environmental fee $15/unit, title-handling fee $20/purchase, and a premium imagery fee of $10 on eligible vehicles. An internet/proxy bid fee applies only to bids won online — TPA Auto bids live by phone, so this typically doesn't apply.

Rates shown are for illustration at common bid amounts, not a complete bracket table, and assume Standard Volume buyer status (not High-Volume). IAAI's fee schedule can change without notice — verify current fees directly at iaai.com or with IAAI before bidding.

Disclaimer: Copart and IAAI set, collect, and change their own auction fees independently of TPA Auto. TPA Auto does not control, mark up, or guarantee these third-party fees, and they can vary by vehicle type, title status, buyer classification, and payment method. Always confirm current fees directly with Copart and IAAI before committing to a bid.

Local vs. National

Your Title Doesn't Belong in an Out-of-State Mailroom

National auction brokers sell you login access behind a paywall, then process your title a thousand miles away and hope it clears. TPA Auto sells something different: a local, licensed Florida dealer who processes your title natively, bids for you live, and never charges you an annual fee to buy one car.

Your Title Never Leaves Florida

Big Brokers:Titles get shipped out-of-state to a corporate processing HQ. Miss one signature or hit a DMV rejection, and your car is grounded for weeks in a support-ticket loop.
TPA Auto:We're a licensed Florida dealer. We pull, process, and reassign titles natively through the FL DMV — including salvage rebuilds and certificate-of-destruction cases. It never leaves the state, and it never leaves our hands.

No Annual Membership, Ever

Big Brokers:Pay $199–$349 a year just to unlock live bidding — or stay on the "free" tier and eat penalty fees on every transaction.
TPA Auto:No subscription, no login fee, no annual commitment. One flat $200 fee — charged only when you actually buy a car.

We Bid, You Watch

No bidding bot to lag, glitch, or misread your max bid in a split second. We get on the phone during the live lane and execute your bids ourselves, in real time, on our master dealer account.

We Know the SWFL Yards

Punta Gorda, Fort Myers, Tampa — we know the layout and the staff. If a transporter balks or a wire takes an extra day, we can pick up the phone or physically get to the yard before storage fees start stacking.

A Real Person Answers

No chatbot, no offshore support queue. When you're wiring thousands of dollars for a salvage rebuild, you get a licensed local dealer on the other end of the line — every time.
